As a lot of the Greek population live of tourism, my sister and her boyfriend usually work every day all season and have the winter off. I think I will have to come outside the season to explore more of Crete, as my sister will have more time to travel with me then. But luckily there are nice places nearby for the 5 hours break she has in the middle of the day, and on the Sunday after my parents had arrived, Yannis had the day off, and we all went to Falasarna, about 35 minutes from Gernai, passing through the city of Kissamos.
We had lunch first before we had the mandatory Frappe (Greek ice coffee) on the beach.
