Roadtrippin´

 

For almost a week my friend Frøydis and I have been on the road, and most of that time was spent on Highway 1 along the Californian coast. The route is very scenic and there is so much to see. We didn´t have a lot of time, so we had to choose our stops carefully.. 

We drove through the deserted landscape leading up to Joshua Tree National Park..

..to Orange county and Laguna beach..

 ..where we filled gas at the prettiest gas station I have ever seen..

We spotted big houses in Malibu..

..and looked for cinnamon buns in Pismo beach. 

We saw zebras playing along with the Hearst cattle like it was all normal. 

Driving from Santa Barbara to Carmel-by-the-sea takes its time as the road is very winding.

Good thing we have an open roof, so we can enjoy the sun as we drive.

We ended the roadtrip with dinner in Carmel-by-the-sea where Clint Eastwood was mayor once. It is one of the most expensive areas to live in in all of USA.
