Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Taj Mahal means "Crown of Palaces".
It is situated in the town of Agra in Uttar Pradesh.
In 1983 the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage site.
