I was in New York at the same time as my colleague Cassandra. She has a friend, Ane, who lives and work in New York. Ane has a friend who was nice enough to let us borrow their car and their rental house in the Hamptons for a night, so on my 19th trip I got to see parts of Long Island and experience where the New Yorkers go for the weekends during the summer.
The car was picked up in Brooklyn, and these first 6 photos are from random places around where we walked to get to the car.
This type of house is a typical Hamptons house.
We left Manhattan on Thursday (May 23rd) morning and arrived in East Hampton about 2 pm. The weather was overcast, and we did not have enough time to drive all the way to Montauk to see the ocean, but it was nice to do a little roadtripping and relax in a quiet house on the countryside for a day. We left to go back to Manhattan early next morning.
There are a lot of vineyards in the area.
We had lunch and did some shopping in East Hampton.
